As an intern with the Aga Khan Foundation, Fasih supported the Climate Resilience and Agricultural Food Security Program by integrating scientific research with development practices. His primary responsibilities included analyzing soil composition across different regions to identify the most suitable agricultural and climate-resilience initiatives tailored to local conditions.

This internship allowed me to apply my knowledge in soil science and GIS to real-world development work. I created a virtual map of AKF’s ongoing projects, which improved visualization of program coverage and impact. Through this role, I gained valuable experience in project evaluation and deepened my understanding of how evidence-based research supports sustainable development and food security efforts in Central Asia.
